Kevin Nikkhoo
President & CEO

Kevin Nikkhoo is a co-founder of Crescent Enterprise Solutions. He has more than twenty five years of experience in IT industry. He has strong analytical skills and has held a variety of technical as well as management positions at many levels for several companies, from Fortune 500 firms to smaller interests.

Prior to founding Crescent Enterprise Solutions, Kevin was Founder, President, and CEO of Vertex Systems, Inc. Under Mr. Nikkhoo’s leadership, Vertex became one of the largest consulting and system integrations firms in the Southwest United States, one that earned the reputation as the “go-to” Microsoft and Oracle partner in the region. After 12 years of continuous growth and profitability Vertex was sold to a leading software company in 2004.

Kevin holds a B.S. in Computer Engineering from McGill University, a M.S. in Computer Engineering from California State University, Los Angeles, and an M.B.A. from USC. Kevin is well recognized in the high-tech industry. He has been featured in numerous publications, including the Los Angeles Times, Los Angeles Business Journal, Merrill Lynch Business Insight, BackOffice Magazine, The Outlook, Daily Breeze, and USC Business Magazine, among others. Kevin is a regular speaker for many industry shows and conferences in U.S. and internationally. Kevin has also co-authored technical books.

Kevin served on Microsoft Partner Advisory Councils for ten years through 2002. Kevin presently serves on the board of the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC) and serves as Chairman of the LAEDC Technology Task Force. Kevin has received the NRCC 2004 “Businessman of the Year” award. Kevin is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) and has served on several government and private sector delegations to China.

Milton Smith
Chief Technologist - Unified Networking Practice

As the Chief Technologist for Crescent Enterprise Solutions' Unified Networking Practice, Mr. Smith is responsible for all aspects clients' networking, voice, video and unified communications. Milt has a proven track record of architecting world-class VoIP, IP Video, WAN, LAN, WLAN’s and IPTV networking solutions for large multi-national companies.

With over twenty five years of experience in the IT industry, before joining Crescent, Milt was the Sr. IT executive responsible for infrastructure projects for a $5 billion Fortune 500 organization. As the leading member of the Architecture Review Board, Milt architected, implemented, and maintained the operations of a state-of-the-art global MPLS network, global VOIP deployment, IPTV, IP conference calling, and global IPVideo solutions.

Mr. Smith an esteemed member of Microsoft unified Communications Advisory Council and holds a US Patent in Digital Imaging.

Milton holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Pepperdine University.

Dave Wessels
Director - Program Management Office

With over 25 years of IT experience ranging from business application development, support, technical team management, and independent consulting, Mr. Wessels has extensive experience in managing professional service implementations for a wide variety of technical disciplines across a diverse set of industries.  Dave currently directs Crescent’s Project Management Office, providing support, direction, and mentoring to a team of Project Managers delivering services to direct and indirect customers.

In addition to managing several multi-million dollar programs in various industries, Dave has conducted over a dozen IT management capability assessments using various industry best practices including ITIL, OMCM, and CMM, for clients ranging from the U.S. Navy, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, to Fortune 100 aerospace firms and large independent software organizations. 

Dave’s particular strength is in creating an environment wherein small or large teams of professional services engineers are able to seamlessly and effectively integrate with client teams to deliver projects on time, on budget, and on target. 

Dave holds a BS degree in Business Administration – Computer Information Sciences from The Ohio State University, 1980.
